Vital Drink Grapes - Blackcurrant - Honey
Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Calories per Serving: approx. 120 kcal
Ingredients
- 300 g red grapes (fresh or from the refrigerated section)
- 150 g blackcurrants (Cassis), fresh or frozen
- 2 tablespoons honey (flower or acacia honey)
- 200 ml water
- 100 ml cloudy apple juice
- 1 splash of lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
Preparation
- Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Wash the grapes, let them drain well, and remove the stems if necessary. Wash the blackcurrants as well if they are fresh, and sort them.
Pro Tip: Let frozen blackcurrants thaw slightly. This provides a colder, more refreshing consistency. - Step 2: Blend
Place the grapes and blackcurrants in a high-powered blender. Add the honey, water, and apple juice.
Pro Tip: Make sure to use cloudy apple juice, as it contains more valuable fiber. - Step 3: Add Lemon Juice
Finally, add the lemon juice to give the drink a fresh note. Blend everything on high speed for about 1–2 minutes until a smooth consistency is achieved.
Pro Tip: A small splash of lemon juice prevents the drink from oxidizing and turning brown. Additionally, the acidity enhances the fruitiness of the beverage. - Step 4: Serve
Serve the vital drink immediately, either plain or with a few ice cubes for extra refreshment.
Pro Tip: For an extra vitality boost, you can sprinkle some chia seeds or flaxseeds on top of the drink. These provide an extra portion of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.

Food Knowledge
Grapes: Grapes are rich in antioxidants, particularly resveratrol, which has anti-inflammatory properties. They also provide vitamins C and K, as well as a lot of natural sugars that quickly replenish energy levels.
Blackcurrants (Cassis): Blackcurrants contain extremely high amounts of vitamin C – up to four times more than oranges! They are rich in anthocyanins, which strengthen the immune system and protect the body from free radicals.
Honey: Honey is a natural sweetener with antibacterial properties. Flower or acacia honey has a mild taste and contains valuable enzymes that are easily digestible for the body.
Apple Juice (cloudy): Cloudy apple juice contains many important fibers and secondary plant substances that are not found in clear apple juice. It is a good source of vitamin C and helps support the immune system.
