Indulgence on a South Tyrol holiday: Selected highlights in Schenna

At the Taser Alm, the host Sepp bakes traditional, delicious rye bread. Those who wish can watch him bake and learn a lot of interesting facts about grain cultivation, proper grain storage, and the in-house mill. The bread baking takes place from June to October every Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Outdoor Cooking at the Taseralm

In this very special cooking course, participants have the opportunity to prepare two gourmet workshop dishes. However, the cooking course is not held in a kitchen but takes place in the midst of stunning nature with a view of the surrounding mountain peaks. The date for the outdoor cooking is June 26, 2019, from 2 PM to 4:30 PM, and the cost with a cable car ticket is 25 euros:

Apple Tour through the Orchards

Interested individuals should also take the opportunity to participate in a tour of the apple orchards in Schenna. Following this, an apple tasting is also on the agenda. During the tour, participants receive detailed information about cultivation, work on the orchards, and proper storage. The tours take place on nine dates every Wednesday from 4 PM to 5:30 PM.

Winery Tour at the Innerleiterhof Winery

A tour of the vineyards followed by a visit to the Innerleiterhof winery is also very interesting. Visitors will learn a lot of interesting facts about cultivation and work in the vineyard, and of course, the fine wines can also be tasted. The winery tour takes place every Thursday from 4:30 PM to 6 PM.

Tallner Sunntig in Schenna

On every first Sunday until October, the hut hosts from the Hirzer area invite you to the so-called Tallner Sunntig, where special delicacies are served. Additionally, the rates for the Hirzer cable car, the Grube chairlift, and the Verdinser cable car are discounted on these days.
