Product Knowledge on Mushrooms and Chervil
Mushrooms: Mushrooms are versatile fungi that can be used in many dishes. They are low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals, especially B vitamins and potassium. Fresh mushrooms should be firm and dry, without moist or discolored spots. Mushrooms have a mild, slightly nutty aroma that pairs well with many other ingredients.
Chervil: Chervil is a delicate herb with a fine, anise-like flavor. It is rich in vitamin C, iron, and other important nutrients. Chervil is often used in French cuisine and pairs excellently with fish, poultry, and light sauces. Fresh chervil should be bright green and free of wilted leaves. It is best to add chervil just before serving, as the aroma diminishes with prolonged heat exposure.
